_Example of idiomatic expression: 

 -A can of worms
A can of worms has nothing to do with a can or with worms. It means "TROUBLE".

-Have butterflies in the stomach
If you have butterflies in your stomach, it means that you are worried or you feel nervous about something you are going to do.
  • " Between a rock and a hard place " Meaning - In a very difficult situation when any resolution will be unpleasant
  • " Blow your top " Meaning - To lose your temper
  • " Break a leg " Meaning - Used to wish good luck to stage performers before an opening
